Case File: The Smell of Lorne

First off, thanks to the WorldFest group who put on a fantastic festival!

Secondly, thanks for voting us tops in our category: the Platinum Award for Best Original Narrative Comedic Short! We’re so glad to be the recipients of this awesome prize, and we had so much fun at the festival. We got to meet other cool filmmakers and folks from both coasts and multiple continents. We’ll have some photos from the event to post for you soon!

Third and most important, as always, thanks to all our amazing cast, crew, friends, and family that helped make this short movie come to life! We’re hoping this is the first fest of many, and we’ll keep you all updated on any new happenings for Lorne and Lorna!

We’re excited to announce the world premiere of Case File: The Smell of Lorne will be happening at WorldFest (Houston’s International Film Festival) one of the three oldest international film festivals on U. S. oil and the first festival to give filmmakers like Ang Lee and David Lynch among many others awards for their unique visions.

Our premiere is set to take place on Sunday, April 17th at 3:00 pm as part of the Texas film showcase. It’s a $7 ticket to get to see multiple excellent Texas-made shorts and meet the filmmakers. The screening will be at the AMC 30 Dunvale in Houston. We’d love to see you there.

We’re also extremely proud and honored to be receiving a Remi Award as one of the top 4 Narrative Comedy Shorts at the festival. We’ll be at the awards banquet the night before our screening (Saturday, April 16) at 7:00 pm and hope to get to see you there as well.
